Two IruKiri Canon Details I Wanna Share:

Nice IruKiri Canon Detail That Warms My Heart

Found in japanese twitter. In episode 12, when Iruma bumps into Kirio, Kirio's stuff from backpack is spilled all over the place. For a couple of seconds there is a frame that looks like this:

There is a roll with a red thread nearby the plank saying "Magical Apparatus Battler"

If you are not sure what's special about red threads, here is some wiki trivia for you:

Now, remember how Kirio constantly talks about how it's a fate that he met Iruma, and you got yourself a happy freaking out IruKiri shipper.

My theory is that this is either a coincidence or fan service. If it is fan service though, that's some really good fan service goddammit, and I think about it every day.

Well, sad news:

...which is why I think it was likely added for fan service in anime.

Now, for even sadder news:

Not Nice IruKiri(?) Thing That Makes Me Sad

They haven't interacted since the Battler Arc If you look into manga, there seems to be a reoccurring choking theme with them.

First of all, that is how they meet for the first time:

Unlike in anime, Iruma literally chokes Kirio in manga.

Then there is that scene, which looks like this in manga:

This time Kirio is the one choking.

Does this seem like a coincidence? Well, it's not, and I have Nishi's confirmation, tweeted during the rebroadcast of episode 18:

I theorize that this was done to emphasize how much the tables have turned. Kirio is introduced as a nice and harmless guy in the midst of all the scary 3rd years kidnapping and torturing younger students during the battler recruitment day. And yet, Kirio turns out to be so much worse than any of them.

But that was a slight side track, back to the fun stuff - choking.

These two moments are not the only ones. In fact, there is one when Iruma finds out about that secret room of Kirio:

I am curious to see how this theme is developed further (as long as no one actually suffers...) but the symbolism seems pretty straightforward: they have opposing worldviews, both of them (although mostly Kirio) are trying to defeat one another.

Well, there you have it. Now that I have shared these two tiny things that have been on my mind for a while, I shall continue crying.

The first time you met Theseus you were boarding for the Hogwarts Express looking desperately for a free compartment. You eventually found one in which there was only a boy about your age. You asked him if you could sit there and he smiled back at you nicely before helping you to put your luggage in the carrier. He then introduced himself and you quickly managed to become friend. Since you were both sorted in the same house you were inseparable. When you reached your fifth year you were so close that everybody thought that you were dating or that you would soon be together. However it never happened, you simply remained friends.

You were convinced that after Hogwarts you wouldn’t be as close as you were with Theseus. Nevertheless you never thought that you would be that distant. It was an accumulation of little things that teared you apart. First of all Theseus chose to work for the ministry while you refused. You were both really busy and it was hard to manage to take some time to catch up. You still spent a Saturday per month together but that wasn’t enough and even if you always swear that you would do your best do spent more time together you never really did it. Then Theseus enlisted in the First World War. You were so worried for him, scared that he would never make it alive. You sent him owls every week but he didn’t necessarily replied. You could perfectly understand that he was too busy surviving and fighting. He eventually made it out alive and considered as a war hero. But he had changed, something in him was changed forever. It’s not that you didn’t get along as you used too but it wasn’t like before, something was broken forever.  You never really met regularly, you would only take a coffee together once or twice a year. Every once in a while, he would send you an owl. When you moved in Norway for your work it was even worse. You would only send a card for Christmas and your birthdays, actually during that period of your life you developed a stronger bond with Newt. You met this latter through work and between you a friendship grew immediately.  You even learned by Newt that his brother was dating Leta. Your heart ached at the news, after the years you hoped that your teenage crush for him would die but apparently it didn’t. you felt also even sadder because Theseus wasn’t the one that told you that. one day you received a letter and recognized Theseus’s writing. It surprised you considering that you didn’t have news for maybe two years. It was an invitation to his wedding with Leta. You saved the date and chose a dress. You also took the decision that you had to forget your crush on him, definitively and interest yourself to other guys. After all this world was full of other boys so you would find another one that you would also make your heart melts.

You were working when you heard the news. You couldn’t believe it but your little sister who were still in United Kingdom confirmed it, Leta had sacrificed herself to save the Scamanders brothers. You felt really bad, she was so young and full of life, she didn’t deserve that fate. You couldn’t be there at the funeral but you sent a bouquet and a letter for Theseus. He replied thanking you for your support. Then you decided to send him a letter every weeks to be sure that he was coping slowly his grief. When Newt came back in Norway for his job he told you that your letters really helped Theseus, that he didn’t feel so alone thanks to them. he added that it would be very great if you could see him when you would return in London. You agreed to that but explained that you would not be back in England for a while.

For the Christmas celebration you finally decided to go back to your childhood home. You spent an amazing time with your family and caught up with everything you had missed. You took time to write a quick note for Theseus asking him when he was free to grab a coffee with you. he didn’t reply and that worried you, you talked about that with Newt and he advised you to directly go at his place to see him. He gave you his brother’s address and you apparated there. the shutters where closed and the house seemed unoccupied. You wondered if you had apparated at the right place and you checked but you were indeed at the correct place. You frowned a bit and decided to knock.  No one answered but you insisted. Finally someone opened the door. the person looked like Theseus but you couldn’t believe that it was him. his natural fluffy hairs were a mess, he had a beard that he clearly hadn’t shaved for a while, he wear a filthy PJ’s, he had puffy red eyes and dark rings under them. he seemed really surprised to see you there and he froze at his spot. You gave him a little smile and he opened wider the door to let you in. his house used to be so clean, everything so well-organized but that wasn’t the case anymore. there were Leta’s photos everywhere on the ground and it broke your heart. You realized that all this time when he pretended that he felt better in his letter he was lying. Theseus was lost in a labyrinth of depression and he needed help to escape the Minotaur that was his own mind. His eyes were focused on you and he watched your every move but he didn’t dare to say a thing. You decided to do something and began to collect all the objects on the floor to tidy a bit the house. He continued to look at you without a word. When you picked a picture of Leta he finally moved and grabbed your wrist softly. You gave him a sweet smile and handed it to him. he didn’t dare to take it and you decided to put it on the drawer next to the window. You also opened the shutter and then window to let some fresh air entered in the room. You jumped out a bit when you felt Theseus presence behind you but softly smiled at him when he handed you the others photos that where previously on the floor.

You spent all your remaining holyday time at Theseus place helping him to put a bit of order back in his life and to show him that he had support, people that would be there for him no matter what. You decided to remain in London for your work and explained the situation to your boss. He knew the reputation of the well-known auror and the things he had been through and he took the decision to transfer your office in London. Theseus was really grateful that you helped him and you were glad to see the progress he made. He shove in beard, took care of himself and the house. He was still nervous to go back to work and every night you would come at his place to give him some professional files. You would eat together and that was a way for you to verify that he took care of himself. He was progressively moving on, he never forgot and he never would but he was slowly becoming more cheerful and you even saw him smile quite a few time. you really felt like the thread you had gave him by your constant presence and stability was helping him to escape his own labyrinth. seeing his progresses reminded you the good old time and you tried to refrain the feelings that grew back for him. you told yourself that it was wrong, he was still no over Leta but you couldn’t help yourself. You simply hoped that one day when he would be better and totally himself you would still remained close and not teared apart like before.
